Da Marsh Harbour a Exuma e ritorno  
È stato una vacanza bellissima facilitata dall’ottima accoglienza avuta alla base da parte del responsabile Sig. Mauro e dalle condizioni atmosferiche perfette: tempo praticamente sempre bello, vento di 14-15 nodi che ci hanno consentito di visitare posti incantevoli che non conoscevamo e che sono risultati sempre superiori nella realtà rispetto a quello che avevamo immaginato, pure preparandoci accuratamente sia sulla cartografia sia sulle immagini satellitari e sui portolani. Siamo così soddisfatti che abbiamo deciso di chiedervi proposte di barche analoghe o eventualmente di grandezza superiore per fare una crociera nelle Seychelles nel 2022. A questo proposito chiediamo di consigliarci sul periodo migliore sia dal punto di vista dei costi che delle condizioni atmosferiche. Da parte nostra preferiremmo il periodo di fine novembre anche se temiamo che sia pericolosamente piovoso.

Pogo 30 Marseille - with Saileazy  
Dear Marenauta team, I would like to provide you a brief account of our experience with the Pogo 30 from Marseille in September. We booked the Pogo 30 through Marenauta, as my previous experience with your services was excellent. Communication with Marenauta was smooth and I was confident that everything is going to be fine. There were two things which I noticed before our trip and which were a bit unusual: 1) a fee for a captain validation was listed and it was unclear what that meant, 2) we didn't have any details about where the boat will be located in Marseille Vieux Port. After my inquiry Marenauta referred me to Saileazy to find out about where the boat is located. Even after multiple attempts to reach them via phone and mail I didn't hear back. Finally, I found out where the boat is located through an internet search. At check-in on Friday 17th Sept., we learnt that the captain validation means that the skipper (me) has to demonstrate his capability of handling the boat as well as competence of crew. It would have been nice to know and be prepared about that but not really a problem, although I was not familiar with the boat. During this captain validation it turned out that the engine had a problem. First it couldn't be started. Once we were outside Vieux Port it showed that it couldn't be switched off. The instructor (and owner of SailEazy) Grégoire Guignon promised to organize another yacht. But, this will only be possible for Sunday 19th Sept. As we will loose two days of sailing he offered the following: - A refund of 48 hours, proportional to the full price paid (17th to 24th Sept.) - Let us stay on the yacht and bring us to Port du Frioul with the yacht that had engine problems (Méridio) and arrange the handover to the replacement yacht on Port Frioul (Harmattan) for Sunday 19th Sept. evening. We accepted the offer by handshake but didn't put anything in writing. The transfer to Port Frioul and the handover took place as discussed and promised without any problems. We enjoyed the remaining time and sailed from Monday to Friday morning. On Friday morning we left the Harmattan in Marseille Vieux Port and did a self-checkout without seeing anyone from the charterer (SailEazy) and as discussed with them. After the trip ended, I was trying to get in contact with Grégoire Guignon to ask about the refund and provided my bank details. He didn't reply to that. I called him on his mobile a few weeks after our trip. On the phone he repeated that the refund is going to be wired to my bank account within the next days. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. Grégoire never answered to my mails or my instant messages. The replacement boat was in good condition and Grégoire made the impression to be very helpful and tried to offer something, once it was clear that we couldn't sail with the booked boat due to an engine problem. However, this was not a good experience and the handling of the situation by the charterer is insufficient as the agreed arrangement is not fulfilled by not paying the 48 hours refund (480EUR) up to date. Communication with the charterer was a problem from the very start and there is no sign that SailEazy will actually uphold their promise and pay the refund. Damen und Herren, leider hat Alem von Charter, trotz Urgenzen bis heute nicht den übrigen Wein (Sommelier Wein) und die wertvollen Riedel Weingläser, die ich in die Marina schicken haben lasse, zurückgesendet. An Boot und Marina war alles ok, auch der Support über whats app klappte sehr gut. Der Base manager war etwas brummig aber sehr hilfsbereit.

The service was excellent, the crew recommended us for a place to sail to. I would only improve the check in, it was long process with paper works, it can be ready in advance. In general it was very good.
